Junior
I am from books.
From pencil and paper.
From words and pictures.
I am from friends and enemies.
From two identities.
From the never been done and the impossible.
From the hopeful and the brave.
I am from the fighters and the warriors.
From the never give ups and the I will try harders.
From the humorous and the dreamers.
The witty and the kind.
I am from large families and tradition.
From the poor yet rich.
From the alone yet not.
I am from sadness and truth.
From changed fate and disapproval.
From disbelief and admiration.
I am from friends and fun.
From basketball and walking home.
From fear and courage.
I am from the good and the optimistic.
From hot summers and cool winters.
From a growing family tree.
I am from Spokane.
Junior is a leader because he does what has never been done. Leaves the Reservation. This shows that he has to be a leader because he wants a better life and following the people on the reservation won't get him anywhere.
Rowdy
I am from anger.
From fistfights and wild punches.
From the misunderstood and the hopeless.
I am from long gone parents and friends.
From the secret dreamers.
From the comic readers.
I am from the betrayed and the forgotten.
From the untrusting and the untrusted.
From broken bottles and smashed feelings
I am from shouts and screams.
From black eyes and bloody noses.
From regret and shame.
I am from basketball and laughter.
From my tribe and tradition.
From the fun and the serious.
I am from late nights and trouble.
From hero and villain.
From the lost and the hurt.
I am from the go aways and fiercely independent
From the the afraid inside.
From the alone and I give ups.
I am from the fear of lost friends.
Lost family.
And being alone.
Rowdy is a leader because he sticks up for his tribe and believes that staying on the reservation is the best thing for him instead of following Junior to Reardan. He feels betrayed by Junior but knew that he would leave someday.
